I have owned and used many computers. I began my research/writing career in 1981 with and Osbourne 1 and it’s 5″ monitor. It had 64kB of RAM and I could save 64 kb on one disk. Wordstar was the program for CP/Ms. From there I graduated to a Kaypro with its gigantic 9″display. I was the first grad student in all the Big Ten schools to write my dissertation on a computer. I finished in 1985 and attepted to deposit a dot matrix printer. But no one would let me. I fially discovered a Panasonic daisy-wheel printer. One switched fonts by chaning daisy-wheels.

I go back those days, pre-Microsoft, to tell of the dozens of computers I’ve had. My new Oracle is BY FAR the fastest, most powerful computer I have ever had. It’s a terrific machine. My next computer will be a Skytech computer (next May), built by Joseph at Skytech.
